The unit requires only a compacted flat surface, pre-cast concrete pads, or adjustable steel leveling foot pads — no concrete slab or foundation excavation is required. The built-in foot pad system accommodates up to 100mm of ground grade variation. For permanent placements, a simple gravel bed or interlocking paving block base is sufficient and can be completed in under half a day.

Yes. Units can be positioned side by side with end walls aligned and connected through a cut-through doorway opening or a covered corridor module. A pair of connected 20FT units provides approximately 74 m² of combined enclosed space — comparable to the 40FT footprint — at the same per-unit sea freight cost and with greater layout flexibility across two separate structural boxes.

For tropical and high-humidity environments, 100mm EPS panels with a color-coated steel exterior skin provide adequate thermal resistance and are inherently moisture-resistant. Rock wool panels are the superior option where both heat resistance and acoustic separation are needed, but require careful installation detailing at panel joints to prevent moisture ingress in sustained high-humidity conditions. Both options are supplied with sealed joint tape as standard.
