A flat pack container house is delivered as a set of frames and panels that assemble on site into a complete room module. Nothing is pre-erected, so a container carries far more building per shipment than any other format. Where a project needs volume accommodation and has labour available on site, flat pack is usually the lowest-cost route.
Because the unit travels dismantled, panels stack flat and frames nest. The result is a much higher ratio of floor area delivered per container, which directly reduces freight cost per square metre — the largest single saving available in container housing. On large orders, this advantage outweighs the additional site labour the format requires.
